Attorneys
Richard K. Whitty earned his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, graduating With High Distinction. He also attended Drake University, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Whitty has been admitted to practice in Iowa since 1980. Mr. Whitty belongs to the Dubuque County, Iowa, and American Bar Associations, the Iowa Defense Counsel Association, the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute, Inc. He has also been active as a member of the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as the Chair and a Member of the Board of Directors. He also served as Board Chair of the Stonehill Franciscan Services and Director of the Stonehill Benevolent Foundation. He has also served on the Iowa District 1A Judicial Nominating Commission. Mr. Whitty's general practice includes, but is not limited to the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, professional liability, workers' compensation, and civil litigation.
